GDO Project is a Belgian design studio exploring the relationship between material sourcing and local craft. Working and promoting manufacturers, artisans and artists, the studio develops furniture and objects rooted in regional resources and craftsmanship.

Through durable design, short supply chains, and thoughtful material use, GDO Project creates contemporary pieces that connect environmental responsibility with lasting value.

The wood and clay used in its projects are sourced by founder Guillaume d'Oultremont from the region of Presles, near Charleroi, Belgium.

The timber comes from storm-fallen or diseased trees, a consequence of the increasing pressures climate change places on Wallonia's forests. Transforming this valuable resource into enduring objects is central to the studio's philosophy.

The local landscape, rich in natural clay revealed by landslides and waterways, provides the second material foundation for a collection rooted in place, craftsmanship, and responsible production.
